Job Title: Communications Manager (Maternity Cover)

Reporting to: Deputy CEO (Communication & Activities Director)

Place of Work: The Student Centre (University of York) / Home working

Contract Type: Maternity cover, 10 month fixed-term contract (June 2024 - April 2025 /or until the return of the substantive post-holder.)

Hours of Work: 35 hours a week. Flexible working available

Salary: £32,448 - £36,775 per annum depending on experience

Here at The University of York Students Union, we have an exciting job opportunity for someone to join our Marketing team as our Communications Manager. 

About the role:

Join The University of York Students Union as our Communications Manager during an exciting and transformative period, including overseeing an organisational rebrand and merger with another Students' Union, the Graduate Students' Association. Lead strategic communications with students and other stakeholders, drive dynamic marketing and PR campaigns, and oversee the seamless implementation of our new brand identity across all channels. You'll manage a small but dynamic team, understand and optimise digital platforms, and foster engagement with our services. Bringing your expertise in project and operational management, financial acumen, and resource allocation will be key as YUSU undergoes this period of evolution.
