Our mission at YUSU is simple - we provide representation, opportunities and run services for all 18,000 York students. YUSU is looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual to support the delivery of our academic representation system and work with colleagues across the busy Student Voice team on projects, training, administrative support and planning.

Our academic representation engages students in all aspects of their degree and the applicant should be someone who is passionate about student life and supports our core values - to be for, with and by students. Working with elected leaders the Student Engagement Coordinator will help empower students to make and see changes within their departments and the University as a whole.

You will liaise between the University and teams across the Student’s Union, working closely with student leaders and student volunteers on projects and training. You will be a good communicator, digitally literate and have experience of administration systems including using data and evidence to produce reports.

YUSU envisages that this post will develop over time and the applicant should be someone flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities and with a proactive approach. he position is fixed term until 30 July 2020.

Your working week will be based around 35 hours per week, and you will have the responsibility to manage your hours in line with the business needs.
